Dear chaser what is the problem with"as" in the meaning of "because" ?why we can't use it?
About "surprised"I think we must use an adverb here,is it "surprising"?(Do we have surprisingly?)
I'm not sure because I think surprising is adjective& I dont remember what is the adv for that.And about the last sentence
I think it was better to use "sharp tool" or "sharp thing".
منظورم يه وسيله تيز بود.

it should be Surprisingly
surprisingly = Adv

about ( for ) and ( as ) you are right both of them means= because
اما for یک نوع coordinator هستش و as یک نوع subordinator هستش. تفاوت اینها در نوع جملاتی هست که در قبل و بعدش میاد. حالا بعدا توضیح میدم چون باید انواع جمله ها رو بشناسیم تا بعد.
اما الان که فکر میکنم as درست هستش راست میگی . نه به خاطر معنیش ، به خاطر جمله بعد از as . ممنون آفرين

حالا بگذارید جمله رو از اول درست کنیم: having started to dig, he found himself unabale as the ground was too hard.

Jack was in dilemma,he wanted to have the treasure & his body at the same time,but it was impossible.
He said:"please give me some opportunity to think .I can't decide right now."
Unfortunately the ghost was not desirous to give him permission & said :"As I said ,I want your body for important
purposes.Dont waste the time."
Jack thought with himself for a short time ,then answered :"I cant yield my body easily to you.
I'm not sure if you are reliable or not.There is no guarantee to return my body safe."

Infact it was easy to tempt Jack ,because he was so impatient to own the huge treasure.
He decided to give his body to the ghost ,but there was a problem.
He asked :"How can I leave my body ?".
The ghost answered:"I'll give you a special liquid , you must drink it,then you'll leave your body.
you wo'nt feel anything.It's like a light dream for you."
Then gave a small bottle to Jack which was full of red liquid like blood.

وقتی برای ادامه داستان از then استفاده میکنید subject رو فراموش نکنید.

زمان افعال باید گذشته باشه یادتون نره Razz

یکی درباره زمان فعل - یکی هم اینکه یک فعلتون نیست یعنی کمه!!!!!

اما در باره این جمله Ghost broke his promise about the treasure and there wasn't any guarantee about Jack's body
جمله خیلی قشنگی هست . اما اون شبه هنوز زیر قولش نزده و Jack داره فکر میکنه و تصور میکنه که اگه اون شبه زیر قواش بزنه چی میشه.
بنابراین برای گفتن این جمله که در واقع اتفاق نیافتاده و یک جمله شرطی هستش باید از جمله شرطی نوع اول استفاده کرد..
so it is better to say:
Jack thought that: If the gost breaks his promise, there will not any guarantee about returning Jack's body.

بعد از حرف اضافه افعال فعل بعدی بصورت مصدر ساده یعنی بدون زمان میاد.
